Angelo Campagna
My name is Angelo Campagna. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Theology at the MCD University of Divinity. As I was finishing that degree, I felt a huge calling to work more with the human experience of Theology. This led me to Cairnmillar Institute where I earned my Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with a focus in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Here I felt that I could offer Pastoral Psychotherapy.
Pastoral Psychotherapy allows you to explore, consider and contemplate the ordinary and more profound aspects of your life. Pastoral Psychotherapy is commenced for all different reasons, something may be troubling, limiting or causing you emotional pain or there may be a desire for change or to seek greater meaning, purpose and connectedness. In doing so, you can gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes as well as identifying ways in finding your own solutions to problems.
A pastoral psychotherapist is one who cares for the whole person including their spirituality. The principal role of the pastoral psychotherapist is to accompany the individual by listening deeply and attentively to them and to notice and reflect the sacred story being shared and revealed.
I am a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
